I hope everyone has a very merry christmas and enjoys spending time with family and friends. This year has been a wonderful one with so many exciting things happening and then again with saddness. This Christmas will be a hard one since we will be missing the "life of the party." Grandma always brought smiles to our faces and she loved to spend time with family. We all miss her a lot but I know that Heaven has gained another angel!
Wow!! It sure does not seem like it has been a year since this little angel was born. Time has sure flown by...... It seems like just yesterday that we were all up at the hospital waiting for your arrival, and then hanging you from the Christmas tree in a stocking. "Happy 1st Birthday Annabelle." I love you bunches and hope you have the bestest first birthday ever!!!!!
I want to wish my cousin a Happy Birthday! "Happy Birthday Tisha!" I hope you have a wonderful day. I love you bunches:)
Ok so I know it has been quite a while since I posted, but we have been trying to get settled into our new house. In my last post I talked about getting a new job. I LOVE it!!! It could not have happened at a better time either. Right after I got the job, we found a house that we fell in love with. Things fell into place and we were able to buy it! Everything has just been happening at just the right time and I know that God has had his hand in all of it.. I will try to post some pictures of the house soon and I promise I mean SOON:)
Okay so I have been unemployed since September 25. I wasn't making enough money working at the daycare, so I started praying that God would send me a new job with higher pay. I quit my job at the daycare with expectations of getting a job at Arvest in Park Hill... well that didn't go through. They decided to hire someone else with more experience. So a couple days later, I got a call from the Levy branch asking for an interview. They said that they had received my application and needed to hire since they were so short handed. I found this a little weird since I didn't apply at that branch, but come to find out, they had transferred my application to the Levy branch since they were short staffed.Once we did the interview they said they would call me in a few days. A FEW days went by and still no word. So I just kept praying that God would give me the job that was "right for me." Well on Tuesday night right before church, they called and said, "You have the job!" They told me what I would be making and it was almost $2 more an hour than what I was making at the previous job. I started shouting right there!!! I called Stephanie which also works at Arvest, and she said "Wow, that's awesome. They normally don't start new tellers off at that pay." I told her, well God has just been with me all the way! He says how much I get paid:) God has been so good and in a way, he did SEND me a job since I didn't apply at that certain branch. God NEVER fails, and he is ALWAYS right on time!!!
So I finally took some advice and started a blog. I have been meaning to for some time but with school and everything else that has happened since the wedding, it just hadn't happened yet. It might take a little while for me to get used to this blogging idea but I think I'll like it:) Hopefully I will have a real post soon but until then......here is our first picture as Mr and Mrs Jared Matlock;)
